Kennewick Fire Dept. to serve Tri-City Heights

According to an article in Wednesday’s Herald, fols in Tri-City Heights will soon be getting fire protection services from the City of Kennewick instead of from Benton County. Here’s how it’ll work:
Benton County Station 130 at Canal Drive and Grant Street will become a base for the Hazardous Materials Team, and fire response equipment will come from one of two Kennewick stations within about four minutes of the Tri-City Heights area.
Five fire agencies in the Tri-Cities have signed off on the change of plans.
