Kennewick Featured in a Computer Game
Jun 25, 2008 Kennewick Life
Who’da thunk it? My son recently bought a computer game called “Rock Tour,” where the objective is to manage a rock band from infancy to superstardom by touring all over the country, writing and recording songs, releasing albums … all that stuff.
When you start, the game tells you where your home base is, and then as your band gets more popular, you’re able to play concerts in new cities. It’s actually pretty fun, for a while.
Anyway, I’ve been playing with a band I named “Film at 11″ and we started out in Baltimore and slowly grew to be able to tour across the U.S. Imagine my surprise when a little dot showed up on the game’s map where Kennewick is, and my band was able to play at a fictitious venue in our very real city. Have a look:

How cool is that?!? It’s gotta be the first time I’ve ever seen Kennewick featured in a video game like this!
