Kanye West wears Kamiakin Braves letterman jacket!

Check it out, this is pretty cool: Rap star Kanye West was on BET this past Thursday night, and he showed up wearing a Kamiakin Braves letterman jacket! Here are a couple photos from the Dress Like Kanye West blog:
How on earth did he get that? What’s the connection between Kanye West and Kamiakin High School? I have no idea. And it seems that the current and former Braves who have commented on that blog post don’t know either. Nice advertising in any case!

hey everyone just to clear things up i attened kamiakin high and think its just a publicty stunt to make people like you guys think that he went here and bought it off a kid at one of his concerts my buddy was tellin me bout it. thats why i wasnt surprised when i saw it on tha news

My great uncle said that he heard Kanye bought it off e-bay as a buy-it-now for like $1.99… I thought that was the funniest thing ever! He also told me about back in 1976 when local news reporters saw a fruit-of-the-loom tag sticking out of the back of Niel Diamond’s leather pants while he was trying on shoes at a Burlington Coat Factory in Hollywood… since they make fruit-of-the-looms here in my home town, you can totally imagine how crazy that sh__ was! We named tuesdays AND thursdays (cuz they both start with a
T) Neil Diamond day, when we would all wear our diamonds to school-if we had any-and we even thought about renaming our school “Neil Diamond High” but then our principal found out about it and since he was a Mommas and the Papas fan he ended up putting the axe to that. Some people even said that our Principal was part of a conspiracy to keep all the other schools from getting jealous and talking smack about how their school was “cooler than ours” even though they don’t even make fruit-of-the-looms there! So even though he denied it, the town gave our Principal the “forefathers award” for seeing that coming and stoping it before it got rollin’. At least that’s what my great uncle told me.

Proud to be a Brave but not because of Mr. West. All though it is cool to see our jacket on national TV. My jacket is small as h*ll on me now! Love those braves baby!!

I go to kamiakin right now, and im pretty sure he got that jacket from justin timberlake’s ex-gf. she went here. and we are the only kamiakin high school, and the only high school with a specific chief as our mascot.
