H1N1 (Swine Flu) Shots in Kennewick

The Benton-Franklin Health District has just announced that “very limited” amounts of H1N1 vaccines have been distributed to certain pharmacies in Kennewick. These shots are for people in “high risk categories that are unable to get the vaccine from their health care providers.”
As of today (November 16, 2009), here are the Kennewick pharmacies on the BHFD list:
Fred Meyer Pharmacy (10th Avenue, Kennewick)
By appointment only.

Serve age 13 years and older
Safeway (Kennewick Avenue, Kennewick)
Call (509) 783-2622 for an appointment
Serve age 8 years and older
Target (Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick)
Call (509) 735-7272
Clinic Dates: November 18 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and November 21 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Serve 10 years and older
BFHD says the priority groups for this vaccine are as follows:
- pregnant women
- parents and caregivers of children less than 6 months old
- individuals 6 months through 24 years old
- individuals 25 through 64 years old with chronic illnesses
