Kennewick Farmer’s Market Moving to Southridge Area

veggiesThe Kennewick Farmer’s Market will have a new home when it opens this year — and a new name, too. It’s now called the Southridge Farmer’s Market, and there’s even a web site at SouthridgeFarmersMarket.com.

The market is due to open on Thursday, June 3rd and will run every Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm until it closes on October 21st.

The new location is 3617 Plaza Way in Kennewick. That’s in Southridge Village and near Southridge High School.

There’s information for vendors and general contact information on the market’s web site (link above).

Family Fishing Pond Closed Tomorrow

The family fishing pond in Columbia Park will be closed tomorrow. The Department of Fish and Wildlife will be restocking the pond with thousands of trout in preparation for the kids Fish-In event that’s happening on Saturday.

So if your Thursday plans included a visit to the family fishing pond, you’ll end up watching DFW crews at others at work — but no fishing, at least not tomorrow.
