Playground of Dreams Closed Monday Afternoon

Wet!!!!!!!If you were thinking about taking the kids to the Playground of Dreams tomorrow after school, think again. The playground is gonna close down at 4 pm so that volunteers can reseal the wood on the playground structures. Tomorrow’s weather is supposed to be somewhat windy and there’s a chance of rain — no idea if that means they’ll have to delay the work.

If the work goes ahead as planned, the PoD will re-open Tuesday morning.

Small Business Seminar Next Week in Kennewick

Running a small business? Would you love to be able to bounce ideas and/or questions off other local small biz owners? You might want to check out next week’s Biz411 seminar in Kennewick.

Biz411 is put together by a group of Tri-Cities small business owners who’ll talk about things like Marketing, Finance, and Technology. I know some of these folks and they’re out there in the trenches like you, experiencing the same challenges you might be facing as a small business owner. And there’s a twist: All proceeds from the seminar will be donated directly to the local Habitat for Humanity group. In fact, the way I understand it, you walk in and pay the $39 registration fee, and all that money goes to Habitat.

The seminar will run from 8:30 am to about 3:30 pm on May 14 at the Home Builders Association offices at 10001 W Clearwater Avenue. You can get more information at the Biz411 Group web site.
